Membrane Roofing

EPDM

EPDM is a high-performance synthetic rubber compound designed to deliver outstanding durability and low life cycle cost. Available in widths from 5' to 50' (1.5 - 15.24 m) and lengths to 200' ft (61 m), EPDM requires fewer field seams and can easily contour to unusual roof shapes. This lightweight and extremely versatile roofing membrane resists Ultraviolet (UV), radiation, ozone and weathering and exhibit outstanding thermal expansion and contraction characteristics. It is available fully adhered, ballasted and mechanically attached. This type of roofing membrane come in .045, .060 and .090 thickness. EPDM has superior weather ability through a wide range of temperatures and conditions and demonstrates superior ozone resistance.

EPDM has gained industry-wide acceptance and respect by providing immediate and long-term roofing solutions. As environmentalists and code regulators place more emphasis on the sustainable performance of building materials, EPDM continues to be the roofing material that stands the test of time. Characteristics that contribute to EPDM's overall system performance include:

  • Cyclical membrane fatigue resistance
  • High resistance to ozone, weathering and abrasion
  • Flexibility in low temperatures
  • Thermal shock durability
